The air is another Wanaka playground with options such as helicopter glacier landings, fly yourself experiences, aerobatic planes, skydiving, paragliding or a visit to the NZ Fighter Pilots museum. The international air show 'Warbirds Over Wanaka' is world renowned and not to be missed.
Mt Aspiring National Park rain forest is simply stunning and easily accessible for walks and tramps. There are a variety of walks for all abilities; shorter walks, valley walks and walks up to the higher passes into the alpine region. Mt Aspiring is home to New Zealand's highest mountains; Mount Cook and Mount Aspiring.
